SUMMARY:

Our Client is a young, high-end technology design and integration company that handles custom programming, service, and installation of audio, video, control, lighting, HVAC, access, surveillance and networking systems for upscale commercial and residential clients.

This company has asked Hallmark to help them find a Support Technician to add to their expanding team. The person in this role will travel 95% of the time, performing installations and repair on client systems. Most of this travel will be in the greater Boston area, with occasional trips to locations across the country. The person in this role must have a valid Driver’s License and their own vehicle. Mileage reimbursement, cell phone and laptop are provided. This is a staff position with great benefits and a promising career path.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Installation, configuration, support and programming of custom technology systems
  • Attend meetings at company headquarters in Boston
  • Frequent travel to client sites, usually by car
  • 95% travel is required, mostly in greater Boston area

 

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • 3+ years of experience in structured wiring/electronics design and installation
  • Proficiency with installation, configuration and programming of Apple products, including AppleTV, iPhone, iPad, and Macs
  • Proficiency with installation, configuration and programming of Windows based computers
  • Network and infrastructure skills
  • PC and Mac skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with Residential and Commercial Construction standards / practices
  • Proficiency with wire termination of all common types
  • Knowledge of residential construction and home building basics
  • Expert troubleshooter of Audio / Visual systems
  • Proficiency with configuration and programming of Lutron HomeWorks and RadioRa2 equipment is a plus
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean record, and a reliable vehicle
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to track time and materials and perform time management analysis
  • Must be able to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Self-starter and team player, with attention to detail and strong troubleshooting ability
