Position Title:          C# / VB.Net Developer
Location:                  Glastonbury, CT

Position Type:        W2 contract position (6 months +)
Salary:                       $46 – $50/hour, DOE

SUMMARY

The State of Connecticut has asked Hallmark to find a C# / VB.Net Developer to work with the Judicial Branch on a 6 month assignment, which could be extended up to 1 year. This C# Developer position is a consulting role, based in Glastonbury, CT.  


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with vendors on application development and standards required
  • Software development using Microsoft Visual Studio 2012, with both VB.NET and C# languages
  • Developing object oriented specialty frameworks
  • Developing Web and Windows applications
  • Coding applications & reports using various technology and tools – including MVC, ASP.Net, VB.NET, C#, XML, SSRS, and SSIS
  • Creation of stored procedures for accessing SQL Server 2012 databases
  • Write clear and concise technical implementation documentation and comment developed code accordingly
  • Explain and transfer knowledge both informally and at design and code review meetings
  • Prepare regular periodic status reports
  • Providing guidance and training to less experienced developers

 

EXPERIENCE / SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Solid experience in enterprise-level development activities
  • Strong knowledge of creating standards for an enterprise system
  • 8+ years of experience developing web applications using both VB.NET, and C#
  • 9+ years of experience coding applications using SQL Server
  • 5+ years of experience working on software projects with multiple programmers in a team environment, including mentoring more junior developers
  • Experience with software design patterns, including MVC, MVP and MVVM.
  • Experience using Team Foundation Server (TFS) source code repository
  • Knowledge of Microsoft .NET Enterprise Library
  • Working knowledge of JavaScript frameworks (KnockoutJS, AngularJS, etc.)
  • Experience developing WCF Web Services
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
