Business Analyst Consultant
Position Title: Business Analyst Consultant – Healthcare
Location: Remote Consultant – but you MUST live in Connecticut
Position Type: W-2 Consultant on our payroll
Duration: 6 months to 1 year on a W-2 basis
Salary: $65 to $90 per hour D.O.E.
SUMMARY:
Our client is a division of the State of Connecticut. They have asked us to find a consulting Business Analyst with Healthcare and AWS experience. In this position, you will develop and design workflows, working with development personnel and vendor teams. Minimum of 5+years experience is required.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Healthcare Domain Expertise:
- Utilize your in-depth knowledge of the healthcare industry to understand and analyze business needs, requirements, and challenges.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including medical professionals, administrators, and IT teams, to gather and translate business requirements into actionable insights.
- Assist in project planning and resource allocation, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and develop mitigation plans to keep projects on track.
Data Analysis and Insights:
- Perform data analysis using various tools and techniques to extract meaningful insights and identify trends that will aid in decision-making processes.
- Develop and maintain data models, dashboards, and reports to communicate findings to key stakeholders and support data-driven strategies.
AWS Environment Management:
- Possess a strong understanding of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and its various services and functionalities.
- Work closely with the IT team to assess, implement, and optimize AWS solutions to enhance data security, scalability, and performance.
Process Improvement and Optimization:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within healthcare operations and translate these opportunities into actionable plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement changes and ensure seamless integration of new processes.
Requirements Gathering and Documentation:
- Conduct thorough requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders to ensure clear and comprehensive documentation of business needs and expectations.
- Create detailed specifications, user stories, and use cases to facilitate development and implementation processes.
Continuous Learning and Industry Trends:
- Stay updated on the latest developments and trends in the healthcare industry, AWS technologies, and business analysis methodologies.
- Proactively recommend innovative solutions and best practices to optimize business processes and improve overall efficiency.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Business Analyst in the healthcare industry, with a focus on data analysis and process improvement.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and its associated services.
- Proficiency in data analysis.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Familiarity with healthcare compliance regulations (e.g., HIPAA) is a plus.
- Familiarity with JIRA is a plus.
