SUMMARY:

Our client is a full-range mechanical contracting firm, engaged in the installation of plumbing, process piping, heating, ventilation, air conditioning and fire protection systems who specializes in a wide variety of high technology mechanical construction work, serving medical facilities, pharmaceutical laboratories, product development labs and pharmaceutical production plants. They have extensive experience in high purity clean rooms as well as experience in the design and installation of pipework whose function it is to convey the materials used for a variety of manufacturing processes. (Materials transfer of gases, liquids, cryogenics or other specialty solutions)

Our client is currently seeking a detail-oriented Project Manager to join their team their Danbury, CT office and directly support their Mechanical Contracting Division. The right individual for this position will understand commercial HVAC/plumbing construction, the ability to react quickly to changing conditions and will display strong communication skills. This candidate needs to be as passionate about taking care of our customers as we are given that is the number one goal and driving force behind our business. DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Provide support to the Project Managers for multiple aspects of projects including procurement, CO’s, Q/C, RFI’s and submittals
  • Participate and provide input into takeoffs, budgeting, planning, scheduling, and production tracking

 

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of project management experience in mechanical construction, industrial and commercial OR a bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering
  • Knowledge in project management, OSHA, and safety codes/practices
  • Ability to multitask in a high volume, fast paced work environment with very tight deadlines
  • Commitment to providing exceptional customer service
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong overall computer skills, proficient with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software, as well as industry-specific terms
