Position Title:        Mortgage Underwriter/QA Specialist

Salary:                   $28-30     per hour D.O.E.

SUMMARY:

Our friends at a local State agency in Rocky Hill has asked Hallmark to help them find and hire several Mortgage Underwriters.

We are looking for the candidate to start end of March for a 6-month assignment. Hours are 8:30-4:30 Monday -Friday

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Quality Control Review Specialist (Underwriter) will review all homeowner assistance applications received through MyHomeCT and confirm that the decision that CHFA and/or its vendor to approve or deny funding meets all Program rules including, but not limited to calculation of household income, confirmation of the determination of denied or approved was warranted and confirmation of calculation of assistance is accurate. 

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Associates degree in business, finance or economics preferred
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in residential mortgage industry loan processing/underwriting area or (equivalent of education and experience) 
• Knowledge of mortgage processing and evaluating – mortgage underwriting knowledge preferred. 
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, analytical, problem-solving skills
• Must be detail oriented
